BRMi is seeking a Mainframe Application Engineer to support a large financial enterprise in NOVA. Navy Federal is migrating Collection services from a legacy, mainframe batch application to a SaaS application. During this transition, the current Computer Assisted Collections System (CACS) is being phased out for Collections Counselors; however, interfaces are still running to connect to all downstream systems. The focus of this effort will be to analyze the existing interfaces, architect and design their transition, and engineer the replacement software (development/testing). Additionally, there is an urgent need for a mainframe engineer to provide additional support to this year’s debt sale process. This involves running existing mainframe programs and validating the output. It will also be to assist another mainframe engineer during this process. Most of this work will be complete by mid September. Design, develop, and optimize software applications that bridge technical teams and end-users, addressing business needs through innovative solutions and enhancing member or internal user experiences. Leverage the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment on an Agile Release Train, to ensure efficient system improvements. Work under minimal supervision and use complete understanding of business needs and objectives to support projects that have impact on the achievement of operational goals. Advanced skill set and proficiency with procedures and techniques.
