Requirements

  • Strong in Mainframe development
  • Experience in JCL, COBOL, VSAM and DB2
  • Good knowledge in the Unix scripting
  • Good knowledge in Agile
  • Good knowledge in Unix Scripting
  • Good Knowledge in Card Domain (Issuing end)
  • Aware of end-to-end Card lifecycle
  • Good knowledge in Cards Domain

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for fixing defects during the testing cycle
  • Managing the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment
  • Providing technical solutions, performing code reviews, enforcing coding standards, and ensuring the quality of deliverables
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to mainframe applications
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs and designing technical solutions
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements and innovative solutions
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the software development process and team productivity
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including functional and technical specifications
  • Working with other teams, such as business analysts and QA, to deliver successful projects
  • Identifying and mitigating technical risks
  • Providing guidance and support to other team members
  • Conducting code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and best practices
  • Optimizing mainframe systems for performance and efficiency
  • Providing support for testing efforts, including defect resolution
  • Participating in release management activities
  • Understanding the business needs and how mainframe applications support those needs
