About The Position

The Role Responsibilities include Replication Design & Implementation, where you will design, install, configure, and maintain DB2 replication solutions across mainframe and distributed platforms. You will build and manage source-to-target replication pipelines and configure replication components such as Capture processes, Apply processes, and Control servers. This includes implementing unidirectional and bidirectional replication setups and real-time and near-real-time data synchronization solutions. You will also be responsible for Troubleshooting & Support, including troubleshooting and resolving data inconsistencies, replication failures, queue backlogs, and network interruptions. Performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions, as well as providing L2/L3 support for production incidents, are key aspects of this role. Performance Optimization involves tuning replication processes to reduce latency, optimize resource utilization, and minimize impact on source systems, as well as optimizing data capture efficiency, apply performance, network usage, and integration. You will also Support integration across DB2 z/OS and DB2 LUW systems, distributed databases, message queues, and ETL platforms, working closely with DBAs, Application teams, Data engineering, and BI teams. Requirements

• Experience with DB2 for z/OS
• ZDIH MIPS reduction / optimization projects
• UNIX system service including installing patch on UNIX
• UNIX scripting
• RACF
• Hands-on experience with replication technologies: IBM InfoSphere Data Replication (IIDR) / CDC
• Knowledge of Replication architecture and data flow design
• Knowledge of Change Data Capture (CDC) concepts
• Strong troubleshooting skills in Data consistency issues, Performance and replication latency
• Experience with JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF
• Experience with Mainframe batch and online environments

Nice To Haves

• Q Replication (preferred)
• Familiarity with MQ / messaging systems
• Familiarity with ETL and data warehousing platforms
• Experience with Monitoring tools
• Experience with Automation (REXX, Python, scripting)
• Exposure to Cloud or hybrid data architectures
• Experience in Large-scale data migration or modernization programs
• Experience in Real-time data streaming architectures

Responsibilities
