Requirements

  • Proven expertise with IBM DB2 for z/OS and replication technologies (Qrep, SQLrep, CDC)
  • Strong track record in software installation, upgrades, maintenance, and testing
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with BMC for DB2 Tools, IBM z/OS Connect, Software AG ADABAS/Natural
  • Programming proficiency with REXX
  • Familiarity with SQL, JIRA, SMP/E, RACF, TCP/IP, network certificates, Splunk
  • Understanding of CICS, IMS, MQ mainframe subsystems

Responsibilities

  • Install, upgrade, and maintain IBM DB2 for z/OS and replication products (Qrep, SQLrep, CDC)
  • Conduct certification testing and document operational procedures
  • Execute disaster recovery testing and ensure systems resilience
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support as part of a rotation, including off-hours troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with support teams, vendors, and management to resolve technical issues
  • Apply advanced analytical and debugging skills to deliver high system availability
