We are seeking a passionate and skilled Main Kitchen Cook I to join our culinary team and help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for over 130 years. As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. Requirements
- Previous cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant, banquet, or high-volume food service environment preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, food safety practices, and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills with a positive and professional attitude.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Set up and maintain assigned workstations, ensuring ingredients, tools, and supplies are properly stocked and organized throughout each shift.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and consistency while adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with chefs and fellow culinary team members to ensure timely and accurate preparation of meals during service periods.
- Assist with inventory management, product rotation, and kitchen cleanliness to support efficient daily operations.
