About The Position
Intertek is seeking a Main Floor Supervisor to join their Caleb Brett team in St. Rose, LA. This role involves overseeing daily operations in the laboratory, ensuring quality, safety, and training in sample handling, testing, and reporting. The company provides specialized Cargo inspection and analytical assessment services to the oil and gas, chemical, and other commodities markets, aiming to be a Total Quality Assurance Provider.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related Science Field or at least 2 years in a laboratory experience
- 1+ years of Petrochemical laboratory experience
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Knowledge of safety protocols and quality assurance standards
- Lift, push, pull, or carry objects as needed, and use core and lower back muscles to maintain posture.

Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily workflow of the laboratory including analysis, testing, and handling of samples under the guidance of the Laboratory Manager ensuring accurate and timely reporting to clients.
- Responsible for the training of Supervisors and technicians to continue the development of laboratory personnel.
- Assist the Quality team in carrying out the quality policies & procedures set forth by management.
- Conduct investigations of discrepancies.
- Communicate, monitor, and enforce laboratory safety and housekeeping practices in a safe, legal, and ethical manner.
