About The Position

CSG is seeking a Mail Prep Operator for the Day Shift. This role is crucial for ensuring mail meets USPS specifications and for the efficient processing of mail on the production floor. The operator will be responsible for inspecting inserted mail, operating machinery, loading processed mail onto USPS pallets and trucks, managing inventory, and maintaining daily logs for mail counts. This position offers on-the-job training, making previous experience unnecessary.

Requirements

Dependable and open to working a 12-hour rotating shift schedule of 6 AM - 6 PM, including some weekends and holidays.
Ability to use a personal computer and have a solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
Ability to stand/walk for 95% of the shift.
Able to bend, stoop, and lift materials between 25-50 lbs on a frequent basis.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Proficient in English in a business environment.
Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in mail preparation or operating production machinery is not required, as on-the-job training is provided.

Responsibilities

Inspect inserted mail to ensure that the mail meets the required expectations according to the USPS specifications.
Operate machinery on the production floor for mail processing.
Load processed mail onto USPS pallets or carts and then onto a USPS truck ensuring that the pallets are positioned correctly.
Understand the inventory process for mail prep supplies and place orders if necessary.
Maintain daily logs for recording and balancing mail counts.
