This is a part-time, per diem position for a Mail Order Clinical Pharmacist in the API Central Fill - Retail Pharmacy department. The role involves overseeing pharmaceutical care, including retrieving and evaluating biomedical literature, designing medication therapy regimens, and providing patient counseling. The pharmacist will also review and interpret medication orders, participate in medical emergencies, and support medication safety and quality improvement activities. Responsibilities include quality assurance of the medication use system, collaborating with the healthcare team on formulary adherence, and assisting with the acquisition of specific medications. The position requires adherence to organizational policies, local, state, and federal regulations for medication preparation, dispensing, storage, and handling. Additionally, the role involves serving as a preceptor for pharmacy learners and mentoring pharmacy teammates. The pharmacist must demonstrate knowledge of age-specific care and possess the skills to assess and interpret patient data accordingly.
