About The Position

The Mail Operations Pharmacist 2 (VSP/PT) is a registered Pharmacist responsible for the accurate and timely dispensing of prescribed medication to patients. The work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. This role ensures adherence to quality assurance standards, accurate tracking techniques, and a review process prior to shipping medications to patients. The individual understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. They make decisions regarding their own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and require minimal direction, receiving guidance where needed. They follow established guidelines/procedures.

Requirements

Bachelors of Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
Licensed as a PHARMACIST in state(s) of practice (AZ, FL, OH, or TX only)
Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs
Self-directed, but also able to work well in a group
Ability to solve problems and encourage others in collaborative problem solving
Work ethic that is focused, accurate, and highly productive
Excellent communication skills
Proficient with computers
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Nice To Haves

3 or more years experience in a high volume community or mail order pharmacy practice environment
