About The Position

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Mail Clerk for our Materials Management Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3–5 years of mailroom, logistics, or print center experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming and outgoing USPS mail and interoffice mail; sort and distribute mail to hospital departments and physician offices.
  • Coordinate centralized processing and postage for over 2,500 monthly mail pieces from multiple AHC departments and off-site locations.
  • Perform daily mail runs throughout SGMC and nearby buildings; coordinate mail flow with courier and USPS.
  • Sort and forward physician mail per the monthly Medical Staff Roster; deliver to in-house or off-site locations.
  • Operate high-volume production printer for hospital forms, reports, newsletters, and other print requests.
  • Complete lamination and specialized printing tasks; assist departments with print and design requests.
  • Track monthly print volumes and submit usage reports to Accounts Payable.
  • Coordinate maintenance and supply orders with vendors (Konica Minolta, Pitney Bowes) for mailroom and print equipment.
  • Retrieve and process patient lab reports from Pathology; prepare and mail approximately 100 reports daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mailroom and copy center.
