About The Position

This position will start Spring 2026. All applicants must be available to begin work on January 5, 2026. Purpose within the organization: The purpose of the Mailroom Worker at Grand Canyon University is to receive, process and deliver incoming and outgoing mail and shipments for Students, Faculty, and Staff. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions: Receive, process and distribute all incoming mail and packages Provide excellent customer service Deliver mail to student mailboxes Deliver mail/packages to all departments on campus Golf cart operator - Must be able to provide a valid U.S. drivers license Other responsibilities as assigned by management Equipment Used and Responsibility: Mailing Software (utilized on a desktop and iPhone app) Qualifications: Must be able to work 20 hours per week Must maintain excellent attendance Must be available to work a set schedule that may include working evenings, weekends and holidays Ability to change from multiple tasks, while maintaining strong organizational skills Provide excellent attention to detail amongst a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail Able to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work independently Responsible, trustworthy, and assertive Must be able to handle office equipment, such as a mail meter machine Willingness to work all areas of the Mail Center Ability to endure standing or moving for up to entirety of work shift. May require standing for long periods of time. Ability to work outdoors during times where temperatures can exceed 100 degrees. Must have a valid US driver’s license Experience/Education: Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment: Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program. Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master’s student. Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
