About The Position

Purpose within the Organization: The purpose of this position is to assist the Jimmy John’s at Grand Canyon University by working as a Food Service Worker. Responsibilities: As a food service worker, you are responsible for the preparation, presentation and execution of all the items on the menu. The ability to prepare and present all items on the menu in a timely manner. Efficiently running your station during your shift. Exercising good safety, sanitation and organizational skills. Equipment Used and Responsibility POS System, taking orders on a cash register Proofing Oven-proofing frozen dough during the day. Baking oven, making fresh bread in the day Slicer-Slicing deli meats during the day Dishes – Hand Washing dishes

Requirements

• Ability to quickly grasp and utilize new concepts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellence in time management with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Detail oriented with the ability to handle stress during peak times
• Seeking individuals with the ability to collaborate with all members of the team
• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University
• You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements
