About The Position

TNStumpff Enterprises, LLC, a Contract Delivery Service provider for the United States Postal Service, is seeking applicants for a part-time Mail Carrier position on a Contract Delivery Service (CDS) mail route in the Thompson Falls, MT area. This role involves delivering mail and parcels along a designated route, requiring the use of a personal vehicle that meets specific postal regulations and insurance requirements. The position is generally for one to two days per week, plus vacation coverage, with hours typically from 9:20 am to 5:25 pm, though end times may vary based on route completion. The pay rate is $27.29 per hour, plus vehicle reimbursement, and includes straight time, Health & Welfare, Holiday pay, and Vehicle Reimbursement paid out hourly as cash equivalency.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Valid Montana driver's license
• Able to lift 70 lbs
• Able to work in all types of weather conditions
• Must reside in the Thompson Falls, MT area
• Must provide own vehicle
• Vehicle must provide 120 cubic feet of usable load space for mail and parcels (Mini-Van, SUV, Truck with Camper Shell)
• $100,000/$500,000/$100,000 or $600,000 (CSL) of liability insurance for contract vehicle
• Applicant is responsible for all vehicle maintenance, fuel and insurance costs
• Must be able to pass a drug test
• Must have a criminal background history that meets the USPS standards

Responsibilities

• Sorting mail in delivery sequence for 389 active boxes
• Loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into delivery vehicle
• Delivering mail along an assigned 77.7-mile line-of-travel
• Dismounting if required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items
• Other administrative duties
