About The Position

TNStumpff Enterprises, LLC, a Contract Delivery Service provider for the United States Postal Service, is seeking applicants for a Contract Delivery Service (CDS) Rural Mail Carrier position in the Cairo, NY area. This role involves delivering mail on a route solicited and posted by the USPS.

Requirements

• At least 19 years of age.
• Valid New York driver's license.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Must reside in the Cairo, NY area.
• Must furnish a vehicle that meets postal regulations and meets postal driving requirements.
• Vehicle must provide 120 cubic feet of usable load space for mail and parcels (e.g., Mini-Van, SUV, Truck with Camper Shell).
• Possess $100,000/$500,000/$100,000 or $600,000 (CSL) of liability insurance for the contract vehicle.
• Applicant is responsible for all vehicle maintenance, fuel, and insurance costs.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must have a criminal background history that meets USPS standards.

Responsibilities

• Sorting mail in delivery sequence for 537 active boxes.
• Loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into the delivery vehicle.
• Delivering mail along an assigned 33.7-mile line-of-travel.
• Dismounting if required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items.
• Performing other administrative duties as required.
