About The Position

We are seeking high-potential, bilingual engineering talent to join Mevion’s China Operations team. This role begins with structured training in the United States and transitions to supporting our cutting-edge proton therapy systems in China. Ideal candidates will be fluent in both English and Chinese, possess a strong STEM background, and be motivated to grow with a leading high-tech company in China’s healthcare sector. Candidates should also demonstrate strong hands-on capability, the ability to work well under pressure, and a willingness to actively learn complex systems.

Requirements

  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English is required.
  • Skilled with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD design software.
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical or thermal finite element analysis.
  • Ability to contribute across many technical areas.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and fast learner.
  • Able to execute tasks independently.
  • Collaborate effectively in a global organization.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Occasional travel to vendor or customer sites as needed.
  • Able to work in an office, lab or factory environment safely.
  • Must be able to work in high magnetic fields.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with a strong understanding of both U.S. and Chinese cultures are preferred.
  • A background that includes education or experience in both regions is a plus.
  • Experience with technologies related to medical devices such as motion control, robotics, high vacuum systems, cryogenics, and superconducting magnets is highly preferred.
  • Experience with medical device manufacturing or related regulated industry a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of complex interdisciplinary technological systems including mechanical, electrical, software and medical physics.
  • Design small and large electromechanical subsystems for our innovative radiation therapy device.
  • Participate in all phases of the product development life cycle.
  • Provide creative solutions to unstructured product design issues from both factory and field.
  • Support Mevion's global installation and service organization at clinical sites.
  • Drive continuous process improvement in all aspects of manufacturing, test and commissioning.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends and insights for increased system efficiency.
  • Responsible for creating design documentation including engineering drawings, work instructions, verification and validation protocols, etc.
  • Responsible for managing Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
  • Collaborate with outside consultants, vendors, and the medical community.
  • Participate in boot camps, team meetings, and cross-functional training.
  • Support knowledge-sharing initiatives and train future cohorts as needed.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by management.
