About The Position
Prysmian is seeking an individual who is looking to join the Maintenance Team. In this role, you will be working as a Machinist in our Machine Shop. This hands-on role will involve supporting the equipment, processes, and people who keep our world-class manufacturing facility running safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Basic computer skills
- Must provide own tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience with lathes, mills, grinders, metalworking processes, and cutting tools
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment
- This position does not involve CNC equipment
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and/or fabricate parts from samples
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace
- Operate manual machine shop equipment, including: Knee mills, Lathes, Surface grinders, Saws, Hoist, Drill press, Morrison key seater, Forklift
