About The Position

Sanel NAPA is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined, and eager-to-learn Entry-Level Machinist to start their career in machining. This role involves hands-on training to repair, rebuild, and machine automotive engine components in their Concord machine shop. Requirements

High school diploma or GED
No previous machining or automotive machine shop experience required
Interest in mechanical work, tools, automotive parts, or equipment repair
Basic math skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions and learn new processes
Dependability, a positive attitude, and willingness to work as part of a team
Good communication skills and a commitment to customer service
Ability to work safely in a hands-on shop environment

Nice To Haves

Mechanical, automotive, maintenance, or trade experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Learn to operate machining equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and presses
Assist with disassembling, cleaning, repairing, and rebuilding automotive engine components
Help work on cylinder heads, crankshafts, engine blocks, flywheels, and other automotive parts
Measure and inspect parts to ensure accuracy and quality
Assist with grinding, milling, boring, thread repair, and other machining tasks
Build custom hydraulic hoses and assist with bearing and driveshaft repairs
Prepare parts for machining, secure components in equipment, and remove metal shavings and burrs
Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep the shop clean and organized
Follow safety procedures and wear required protective equipment
Help prepare customer orders, handle parts, and complete related paperwork
Work with experienced team members to learn new skills and meet customer needs
