About The Position
Doncasters is hiring a Machinist to join its team in Groton. The Machinist will machine and finish casting parts using drills, saws, grinders, and vertical milling machines. The role involves working from blueprints and work instructions to set up and operate machinery and ensure parts meet exact specifications. The Machinist will also help develop setups, procedures, and techniques for new jobs and debug existing machinery to improve efficiency. The available schedule is Friday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a lathe or drilling machinist.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow technical instructions.
Responsibilities
- Machine and finish casting parts using drills, saws, grinders, and vertical milling machines.
- Set up and operate machinery according to blueprints and work instructions.
- Ensure parts meet exact specifications.
- Develop setups, procedures, and techniques for new jobs.
