About The Position

KLA is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Manual Machinist / Precision Assembly Technician to support the manufacture, assembly, testing, and improvement of high-precision air bearing spindle systems. The role combines traditional machining with precision mechanical assembly, measurement, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation. The machinist will machine, fit, assemble, inspect, and test precision mechanical components to tight tolerances, working independently from engineering drawings, process documentation, and assembly procedures while maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship. The position is within KLA’s Central Engineering organization, which includes nine Centers of Excellence spanning areas such as automation, motion control, sensors, platform design, and packaging. The Semiconductor Products and Customers business unit designs, builds, and sells products that help chip manufacturers meet quality standards across semiconductor and related technologies.
