A respected manufacturing/industrial shop is looking to bring on an experienced Manual Machinist who knows their craft and can run manual lathes, mills, and related equipment with confidence. Requirements
- 3+ years of manual machining experience (lathe and mill required)
- Strong understanding of machining principles, feeds/speeds, and tooling
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Solid math and measurement skills
- Reliable, detail‑oriented, and committed to quality
Nice To Haves
- Experience with threading, boring, facing, and tight‑tolerance work
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and other machining equipment
- Machine parts to precise specifications using prints, drawings, and verbal instructions
- Perform measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision tools
- Maintain equipment, tooling, and a clean, safe work area
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust setups for best results
- Work independently and collaborate with the shop team to meet production goals
