About The Position

The Machinist works on the product assembly line, collaborating with the production team to create and modify components for company products. The role involves reading drawings and blueprints, setting up and operating CNC mills and conventional machine tools, and inspecting components for uniformity. The position requires experience in machining, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with manufacturing equipment. The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (four 10-hour days).

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in the machining field.
• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience working with large equipment.
• Familiarity with standard power and hand tools.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and sit and stand for reasonable periods.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Detail-oriented problem solver and troubleshooter.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Solidworks or Mastercam.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify components for use in products.

• Use conventional machine tools, including lathes, mills, and grinders, as well as deburring equipment and hand tools.
