Level 3 CNC Machinist Requiring a broad knowledge of machines and machining techniques must be familiar with Computer Numerically Controlled Machine Tools. Setups involve an understanding of program formats with a combination of operations such as profile, contouring, boring, pocketing, drilling, turning, threading, etc., to the capacity of the machine tool. Perform simple to advanced setups, adjust and check programs, operate CNC machine tools to perform complex machining operations on a diversified line of work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring a high degree of skill. May set up machines for and instruct other operators. Checks parts for conformance to specifications. May run more than one unit simultaneously.
