Requirements

  • Experience in CNC machines.
  • Experience with complex machining tasks and precision work is essential.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to diagnose and address machining issues effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work and meeting exacting standards.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming and familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) and (CAM).
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally over 100 pounds.
  • Capability to work in varying environmental conditions and on uneven surfaces.
  • Completion of a machinist apprenticeship or trade school program is preferred.
  • 5+ yrs, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Frequent use of hands to operate tools and equipment, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting.
  • Visual acuity required for detailed work.
  • Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks with changing deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain focus on quality and safety.
  • Must have the appropriate respect for Law Enforcement, EMS, Fire, Security and Military service members.
  • Cannot hire felons.
  • A friendly attitude and a love for your job is a must.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HAAS CNC’s strongly preferred.
  • Technical Certifications may be considered in lieu of/addition to experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain manual and CNC machines including lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Execute precision machining tasks according to specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Properly and efficiently set up equipment for each job/project.
  • Program G-Code on a post processor to run on a CNC machine.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals to determine machining requirements and ensure accurate production.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machining equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues promptly.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Organize and manage work assignments to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Coordinate with team members and other departments as needed.
