About The Position

We are seeking a CNC Machinist to support manufacturing and development of measurement equipment for the Semiconductor and Photovoltaic industries. The position will be based in Semilab SDI, Tampa, FL. Machinist will report to the Machine Shop Supervisor, who will oversee specific tasks and work schedule.

Requirements

• Previous machine shop experience.
• Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English.
• Highly self-motivated individual with an eagerness to learn the machinist trade and to take initiative in both solo and teamwork environments.
• Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment.
• Strong problem solving abilities.
• Must have own tools
• Basic math and Geometry skills
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Works well with others
• Machining: 7-10 years (Required)
• Machining: 7 years (Required)

Nice To Haves

• Ability to learn and work on the fly
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Running machine operations on a vertical mill and/or lathe
• Experience with conversational programming and Acu-Rite controls
• Manual Machining background
• Deburring, sanding and cleaning of machined parts.
• Running the machine shop chop saw, grinder and band saw
• Fixing and creating parts with only verbal instructions
• Preparing parts for coating operation
