About The Position
Set up and operate a CNC machine, or manual machine, to produce machined parts.
Requirements
- Editing of CNC machine programs and settings
- Knowledge of sheet metal materials and tubing
- General knowledge of small hand tools, including tape measure
- Understand blueprints, process sheets, and other documents
- Understand measurement and angle conversions
- Strong computer, written/verbal communication skills, and math skills including fraction conversions
- Utilize proper speed and feed for maximum efficiency
- Deburr parts as needed
- Intermediate to advanced experience with micrometer, caliper, and other measuring devices
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC or manual mill/lathe
- Verify and adjust settings to ensure specifications
- Change and adjust tools and inserts
- Troubleshoot problems and adjust to correction
- Produce production parts as per specified requirements
- Utilize proper speed and feed for maximum efficiency
- Deburr parts as needed
- Adhere to business management system (BMS), as applicable
- Assist with any other duties as assigned
