About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the machine shop, coordinating work within the department and with other departments, reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor, and responding to inquiries or requests for information. The role involves designing and drawing custom hydraulic parts and tooling, quoting manufacturing costs, ordering materials, and performing repairs using various welding techniques.

Requirements

High school graduate with some technical training.
Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills.
Proficient mechanical skills.
Proficient PC skills including Internet.
Information technology skills related to hydraulic cylinders and parts.
Visual and auditory skills.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, climb, and lift items weighing 50 lbs. or less.
A minimum of two (2) years' experience in related positions.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of duties to support the machine shop.
Design and draw custom hydraulic parts and related tooling using SolidWorks design.
Quote cost of manufacturing new and custom cylinders for customers, price various components and raw materials necessary to manufacture.
Complete inventory and order tooling, machine oils, coolants, steels, and other materials.
Use MIG, stick electrode, and braze welding to complete repairs on hydraulic cylinders.
Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
Abide by current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
Cooperate with, participate in, and support the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the company’s compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compile information as necessary or as directed and provide data to appropriate personnel.
Respond to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
