About The Position

As a Machinist in the manufacturing industry, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality precision parts by operating and maintaining various machine tools, including CNC machines. Your expertise will ensure that components are manufactured to exact specifications by interpreting blueprints and applying precision measuring techniques. You will be responsible for setting up machines, selecting appropriate tools, and performing machining operations such as cutting, shaping, and deburring metal or plastic materials. The role demands a strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards to meet production deadlines and maintain product integrity. Ultimately, your work will directly contribute to the efficiency and success of the manufacturing process, supporting the delivery of reliable products to customers across the world.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience PROGRAMMING and operating CNC machines in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining instructions.
  • Proficiency in precision measuring techniques and use of measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Knowledge of machine tool setup, operation, and maintenance.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in machining or CNC operation from a recognized technical institution.
  • Familiarity with computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and quality management systems in manufacturing.
  • Ability to work with a variety of materials including metals and plastics.

Responsibilities

  • Program and Operate CNC machines to manufacture precision parts according to engineering blueprints and specifications.
  • Set up machine tools, including selecting and installing cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments.
  • Perform precision measuring and inspection of finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machine tools to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.
  • Deburr and finish machined parts to meet surface quality requirements and prepare them for assembly or shipment.
  • Collaborate with engineers and quality control teams to resolve machining issues and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report any deviations or defects promptly.
