About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our team. Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the CNC Machinist will set up, adjust, and operate a variety of departmental machinery, including horizontal and vertical mills, lathes, presses, and grinders, to manufacture high-precision machine parts. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all parts meet tight tolerance specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

Ability to read blueprints, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.
Must be able to communicate effectively with team members.
Proficiency in basic arithmetic, including fractions and decimals.
Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
Capable of understanding and carrying out instructions delivered in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to solve problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprint specifications to determine procedures and sequences of operations.
Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools with limited supervision.
Perform complex machine setups and critical machining operations.
Position and secure workpieces and tools accurately.
Operate various hand tools and machine tools to perform finishing work and adjustments.
Use precision measuring devices to ensure conformance to specifications.
Examine surfaces for defects and perform necessary corrections.
Sharpen cutting tools as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve operating, material, and tooling issues.
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
Complete all required documentation and paperwork accurately.
Follow all safety, quality, sanitation, and housekeeping standards.
