About The Position

Scott Equipment builds custom equipment, so we DON'T have assembly lines which means you'll have variety in your day to day work. We are looking for people who fit our culture, are willing to work hard, and be a team player. The Primary Objective of the Position is to safely operate and maintain lathe and milling machine(s).

Requirements

Ability to run and operate a CNC Lathe or Mill
Ability to take direction, be a team player, and show up on time
Ability to utilize a variety of shop tools & machinery
Must be able to lift 75 pounds

Responsibilities

On assigned job orders responsible for reviewing drawings, clarifying procedures, ensuring materials are available, sets up machines and have a good understanding of the project scope and deadline
Have the ability to run a mill or a lathe.
Within the machining function (milling, boring, welding, lathe work, grinding and polishing) understands the specifications of each job and uses a variety of machines and tools to produce high quality work
Accurately drill holes
Uses tapping attachments to produce quality threads
Utilizes appropriate saw for cutting and uses appropriate blades and speeds
Ensures a safe work environment by following safety requirements and policies
Perform routine visual machine inspections and report damages to maintenance for repair.
Properly and safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts while maneuvering materials as needed.
Performs other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
