About The Position
Fluid Tech Hydraulics Inc. is seeking competent, self-driven workers for various positions, specifically Manual Machinists, CNC machinists with manual machine competence, and general mechanics. The company primarily focuses on the repair and fabrication of hydraulic systems but is continuously expanding and handles a diverse range of projects. Machinists will have access to a variety of machines and will move between them based on work requirements. Due to the low volume and high diversity of parts fabricated, machinists will work from detailed fabrication drawings, hand sketches, or sample parts. Projects can range in duration from less than an hour to over a week.
Requirements
- Manual Mill experience, preferably Horizontal Mills.
- Manual Lathe experience.
- Familiarity with Blanchard-style surface grinders.
- Experience with hand measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Ability to read fabrication drawings and execute necessary operations.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced working environment.
Nice To Haves
- Ability and desire to learn, from new machines to techniques and tooling.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate parts from provided drawings or samples, including selecting tooling and workholding.
- Operate horizontal and vertical mills.
- Operate manual lathe for simple operations.
- Keep concise and accurate timecards and sketches.
- Measure and draw components to reproduce major features.
