About The Position

The Machinist provides maintenance, installation, and repair services for Plant Operations. The position repairs mechanical equipment, remote auxiliaries, building HVAC equipment, pumps, and other assigned mechanical equipment. It also performs scheduled equipment evaluations, preventive maintenance, and repairs, and maintains steam and chilled water lines above and below ground. This is an Essential Personnel position that may require reporting for duty and working through emergencies. A supervisor may also designate the incumbent as essential to accomplish work or complete a critical task.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of equipment repair and preventive maintenance experience.
• Valid and unrestricted U.S. driver's license, excluding corrective-lens needs.
• Meet Tulane University Motor Vehicle Policy criteria to become authorized as a driver.
