About The Position

SPIROL is a global manufacturer seeking a skilled Machinist for their 2nd shift in Danielson, Connecticut. This role is for individuals who take pride in precision, enjoy hands-on work, and wish to advance their skills in a collaborative shop environment. The position offers a flexible 4-day, 10-hour work week. SPIROL provides engineered metal fasteners used in various industries, including automotive, aerospace, and green energy.

Requirements

• Machining experience preferred but flexible - we value aptitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Dependable, team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.)
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work instructions
• Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring tools
• Make adjustments to ensure quality, accuracy and efficiency
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Follow safety, quality and production standards
• Collaborate with engineers and fellow machinists
