About The Position

Join Manitowoc Pattern & Machining (MP&M) for a rewarding career in machining. As a Machinist, you'll be responsible for setting up and optimizing production equipment to maximize efficiency and produce quality products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, precision work, and making an impact every day. The schedule is Friday - Sunday, 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM, working 36 hours per week and getting paid for 40.

Requirements

Knowledge of machines and tools, production processes and design techniques
Knowledge of Master Cam Software
Knowledge of basic math applications
Ability to use logic and reasoning to solve problems
Ability to maintain close attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to hear
Good vision including close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

Effectively communicate, verbally and written, in English
Read and understand process sheets and work instructions in English
Create 3-5 Axis tool path utilizing Master Cam Software
Determine methods, cutter types, and cutting parameters based on material design and specifications
Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure quality and design objectives are achieved
Design basic 3-D computer models, drawings and specifications for fabrication of tooling and machined elements
Comply with ISO, IATF, and AS9100 standards when documenting machine setup
Perform general maintenance, cleaning, and organization of equipment and tooling
Other duties as assigned to ensure efficient operators
