About The Position
Staging Dimensions is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist for a full-time day-shift position. The machinist operates manual lathes and milling machines, works independently, and maintains quality and safety standards. Candidates must have at least three years of hands-on experience with manual lathes and mills.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience working with manual lathes and mills.
- Ability to set up machines and complete jobs independently.
- Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
- Strong understanding of shop math, fractions, decimals, and tolerances.
- Ability to produce consistent, accurate work.
- Dependable attendance, attention to detail, and commitment to safe work practices.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds.
- Machine parts to specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Inspect work using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and tape measures.
- Use hand tools to deburr, finish, and fit parts.
- Perform routine machine care and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Communicate material, tooling, and production issues promptly.
