Andritz Hydro is seeking a self-motivated, reliable, and organized individual with upward potential to join our team as a Machinist. This position will interact with decentralized locations, service, sales and production staff and requires focused work. This is a hands-on position, both by procedure and on the floor assistance.
Requirements
- 3 years of Machinist experience of a machine shop.
- 3 years of experience in working with various metals and complex part making.
- 2 years of experience working with large mutli-axis CNC equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate various horizontal and vertical lathes, vertical and horizontal mills, and other machine tools as assigned.
- Use metal cutting tooling.
- Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measurement instruments as assigned.
- Rig loads and operate overhead cranes.
- Read drawings and make sketches.
- Interact with and clearly communicate with co-workers in a team-like atmosphere.
- Stand on your feet at least 8 hr per day.
- Dead lift at least 60 lb.
- Assist with production planning.
- Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that documentation is completed on time.
- Ensure housekeeping is ongoing by maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
