About The Position
This role requires a skilled Machinist with expertise in CNC software and machinery, as well as traditional machining tools like grinders, lathes, and milling machines. The position demands strong mathematical and analytical skills for precise measurements, calculations, and the development of manufacturing plans. Effective communication and problem-solving abilities are essential for troubleshooting and ensuring smooth production. Additionally, the role involves understanding and adhering to health and safety regulations, and may require basic welding techniques and familiarity with welding equipment.
Requirements
- Familiarity with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) software and machinery used for computer-aided manufacturing
- Knowledge of how to operate grinders, lathes and milling machines
- Math skills to take precise measurements and make calculations
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing process
- Ability to move roughly 50 to 75 pounds and remain stationary throughout a shift
- Understanding of health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of workplace accidents
- Ability to execute basic welding techniques
- Familiarity with welding equipment and workshop safety protocols
