The primary purpose of the Machinist is to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment to manufacture precision parts. This role adheres to Integer Values and all safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements. The machinist is accountable for meeting cycle time and yield expectations, and may be required to operate more than one machine simultaneously. Responsibilities include sharpening and changing tooling, making offset adjustments, presetting tooling, maintaining tooling life, troubleshooting equipment, deburring/buffing/sanding parts, verifying documentation revision levels, completing and verifying documentation, inspecting parts for conformance to specifications, identifying and escalating quality non-conformances, practicing lean manufacturing principles, performing preventative maintenance, expanding skill base through training, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
