About The Position

Lantech is seeking an experienced and dependable Machinist to join their team. This role is crucial in producing high-precision components for Lantech's industry-leading stretch wrapping equipment. The Machinist will apply technical expertise to machine complex parts while maintaining high quality standards, with opportunities for career growth through Lantech's Skills Progression Program.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the machining trade
• Can independently set up and operate CNC and manual machines
• Skilled in producing both simple and complex parts to print
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and strong work ethic
• Comfortable working with tight tolerances and high-quality standards
• Work effectively within a team environment
• Dependable and maintain an excellent attendance record
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

• CNC programming experience
• Prior forklift operation
• Vocational or trade school training is a plus

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, CNC mills, manual lathes, and manual mills
• Machine parts to print using both metric and inch drawings
• Hold and inspect tight tolerances—sometimes less than 0.001 inch
• Produce simple to complex components using a variety of machining equipment
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and optical comparators
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, including GD&T
• Devise creative and unconventional part-holding methods when needed
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and productivity
• Perform other duties as assigned
