About The Position

Under general supervision, performs duties in connection with the maintenance, repair, and installation and removal of station and yard mechanical equipment and structures. This includes inspection, testing, monitoring, maintenance, repair, non-code welding, cutting, brazing, adjustment, and alignment of station and yard mechanical equipment such as piping, valves, boilers, boiler auxiliaries, turbine generators, turbine generator auxiliaries, refrigeration and heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, insulation, refractory material, buildings and structures, painting and protective coatings, and rigging. Responsibilities

• Performs duties in connection with the maintenance, repair, and installation and removal of station and yard mechanical equipment and structures.
• Conducts inspection, testing, and monitoring of mechanical equipment.
• Performs maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment.
• Performs non-code welding, cutting, and brazing.
• Adjusts and aligns station and yard mechanical equipment including piping, valves, boilers, boiler auxiliaries, turbine generators, turbine generator auxiliaries, refrigeration and heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, insulation, refractory material, buildings and structures.
• Applies painting and protective coatings.
• Performs rigging operations.
