About The Position

Indotronix is seeking an Onsite Job-Machinist Level 2. This role involves setting up and operating a variety of machine tools such as manual lathes, manual mills, CNC mills, and precision grinders to create metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions. The position requires a strong focus on product quality through in-process and final part inspections using various machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Responsibilities include making standard shop computations, maintaining equipment, ensuring tooling and material readiness, and upholding a clean and safe work environment. Additionally, the role involves training others on Mill/Lathe equipment setup, operations, and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with CNC Mills and machine programming software (example Mastercam, CAMworks, etc.).
  • Must have experience running manual machines and performing set-ups.
  • Ability to read and interpret production specifications, production diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical specifications (English).
  • Experience in following written set-up instructions and /or performing unique set-ups.
  • Experience fabricating component parts where set-ups are non-routine and tolerances are difficult to acquire and maintain.
  • Able to work in a standing position for extended time periods.
  • Experience in complex measurements and advanced shop math calculations relative to tolerances, dimensions, tooling, and feeds and speeds.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Machining experience (3+ years).
  • Able to lift or move a minimum of 35 -50 lbs. for up to 12 hours per day; pushing or pulling 35 -50+ lbs. occasionally throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Fanuc and HAAS Controllers preferred.
  • 4+ years' experience on 3 Axis CNC machines, 4 and 5 Axis is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CAM programming with Mastercam preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for quality of the product by performing both in-process and final part inspections using a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
  • Care and maintenance of the equipment.
  • Assuring tooling and materials readiness.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Provide training to others in all aspects of Mill/Lathe equipment setup, operations, and maintenance.
