About The Position

As a Machinist - Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machine tools to produce precision metal parts and instruments. Your role is critical in ensuring that components meet exact specifications and quality standards, supporting the manufacturing process with skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail. You will report directly to our Production Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Torrance, CA location on an On-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact the quality and efficiency of Honeywell’s aerospace manufacturing operations, contributing to the production of high-precision parts that are essential for aerospace safety and performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to produce precision parts.
  • Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials used in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Experience with measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to fabricate parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as necessary to maintain tight tolerances.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot machine tools to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
