About The Position
This position is responsible for performing a full range of machine shop work at the level of machinist S1. Typically the incumbent makes new or replacement tooling and or machine parts. Operates most common machine tools such as vertical millers, CNC lathes, and manual lathes. The incumbent understands the properties of common metals, plastics and cutting tools.
Requirements
- 1-3 years in the machine shop or trade school in the machining field

- Learn and advance through machinist to toolmaker.
