Wyman-Gordon is a worldwide supplier to the aerospace and industrial gas turbine markets. We hold quality accreditations for all the major airframe and engine manufacturers for both civil and military applications. Wyman-Gordon creates rotating closed-die forgings which are critical for aerospace and land-based gas turbines. Wyman-Gordon also manufactures structural forgings for airframe, nuclear, petrochemical, power generation, and space applications. Located in Ontario, CA, Summit Machine, LLC specializes in the rough and finish machining of super alloys for the aerospace, commercial, defense, power, and petroleum industries. Complex components include nickel base, titanium, stainless steel, aluminum and carbon steels with parts ranging in size from 2” OD – 120” OD. The Level 1 Machinist operates 2-5 axis CNC lathe machines, which requires machine setup including preparing and setting up fixtures and cutting tools, loading and adjusting CNC programs and offsets, performing inspections and basic preventative machine maintenance such as coolant and lube levels and area cleanliness. Competencies include the ability to use more advanced quality inspection tools and techniques. Must be able to read prints and have experience with common CNC G and M codes. This position is designed to support 2nd shift operations (12:15pm – 8:45pm, Mon - Fri), on the G&L machines, however the selected individual may train on 1st shift from 4:15am – 12:45pm, M – F for approximately 3 months, or until able to demonstrate an ability to perform the job with minimal intervention. Shift differential will apply upon schedule change if applicable. The selected individual may be asked to flex on other machines to support business needs.
