Machinist, Lathe 3 - Weekend Shift/Part-Time
About The Position

This specific position is for a CNC Lathe Machinist 3, responsible for setting up and running complex proven or new parts with minimal supervision, and assisting in the development of new processes. The role requires ensuring tooling and fixtures are adequately designed, cost-effective, and procured to support customer deliveries and company budgets. The machinist will manually program machines using proficient knowledge of CNC controls, read blueprints and tooling instructions, and perform first piece inspections accurately, assisting in the development of check sheets.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 to 7 years' work experience
Nice To Haves
- Completion of vocational education or four years formal apprenticeship preferred.
- Completion of Machine Tool Technology program preferred.
- Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all tooling and fixture used in the CNC area is adequately designed, cost effective and procured in such a manner which supports customer deliveries and company budgets
- Manually program machines utilizing proficient knowledge of CNC controls
- Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications
- Perform first piece inspection accurately, assist in development of check sheets.
