About The Position
FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. They provide customers with leading-edge support from prototype to production. This role is for a CNC Lathe Machinist 2 who will set up and run repeat or proven parts with minimal direction. The position is located in Livermore, CA, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ work-related experience.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and G & M code.
- Extensive knowledge of accepted inspection practices.
- Demonstrated ability at operating computer numerical control machines.
Nice To Haves
- Enrolled in or vocational education or four years formal apprenticeship preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set-up and run repeat or proven part(s) with simple to high complexity with minimal direction from area Lead or Supervisor.
- Utilize shop paper procedure including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non-conformance related activities.
- Perform DNC communications upload and download tool program.
- Inspect and measure parts to maintain statistics.
- Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.
