About The Position

This role is for a CNC Lathe Machinist 2 who will be required to set up and run complex parts with little to no supervision and assist in the development of new processes. The position ensures all tooling and fixtures used in the CNC area are adequately designed, cost-effective, and procured to support customer deliveries and company budgets. The machinist will manually program machines using proficient knowledge of CNC controls, read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications, and perform first-piece inspection accurately, assisting in the development of check sheets.

Requirements

Minimum 3 to 5 years work experience

Nice To Haves

Completion of vocational education or four years formal apprenticeship preferred.
Completion of Machine Tool Technology program preferred.
Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

Set-up and run complex proven or new parts with little to no supervision.
Assist in the development of new processes.
Ensure all tooling and fixtures used in the CNC area are adequately designed, cost-effective, and procured to support customer deliveries and company budgets.
Manually program machines utilizing proficient knowledge of CNC controls.
Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.
Perform first piece inspection accurately.
