About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring CNC Machinist IV for a local leading Manufacturing Company in Miramar, CA. As a CNC Machinist IV, you will set up and operate Vertical and Horizontal CNC Milling Machines, adjust Haas and Fanuc CNC controls, use precision measuring tools accurately, identify minor machine issues, perform routine checks, and follow standard operating procedures and drawing specifications with minimal supervision. You will also look for ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality through routine checks and testing, and show a willingness to learn machine setup processes. This is a Full-Time temp-to-hire Opportunity.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent (GED).
Minimum of 3-years of experience with vertical and horizontal CNC Mill machines.
Familiar with and moderate knowledge of Mastercam / Solid works.
Solid understanding of machine controls using Haas / Fanuc CNC equipment.
Knowledge in G & M CNC codes.

Nice To Haves

Ability to learn and understand process requirements and possess skills to troubleshoot, react, and correct failures in the process due to unplanned situations.
Skills in communication, both verbal and written to optimally connect with different teams, provide training, and diagnosis/resolve production issues.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate Vertical and Horizontal CNC Milling Machines.
Adjust Haas and Fanuc CNC controls as needed.
Uses precision measuring tools accurately, including calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges, pin gauges, and similar instruments.
Identifies minor machine issues and reports them as needed.
Performs routine checks to ensure tools, fixtures, and equipment are functioning properly.
Follows standard operating procedures and drawing specifications with minimal supervision.
Looks for ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality through routine checks and testing.
Shows willingness to learn machine setup processes.
