Machinist IV

ITT Inc. - English US•Valencia, CA
•$37 - $55

About The Position

The Machinist IV sets up and operates a variety of manual and other machine tools to fabricate, alter, or repair prototype parts, subassemblies, completed units, models, devices, and pilot production units. Work is performed with minimal supervision and may include machining work that is not practical to manufacture on a production basis. The machinist works from blueprints, plans, job specifications, sketches, or verbal instructions to determine machining methods and sequences, complete layouts, make tooling when needed, and select machine speeds and feeds. The role checks work against specifications and drawing requirements, may program machines, and may provide technical assistance and instruction to less experienced machinists. ITT Inc. is a diversified manufacturer of engineered components and technology solutions serving flow, aerospace and defense, transportation, industrial, and energy markets. The company is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, employs more than 15,000 people across 40 countries, and serves customers in approximately 125 countries.
