About The Position

Join our team at Collins Aerospace Onsite in Durham, NH as a Machinist IV. We offer a brand-new state-of-the-art facility equipped with new machinery, a cafeteria, an onsite fitness gym, a golf simulator, outdoor tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts. The work schedule is 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime available as business needs dictate. At Collins Aerospace, our Mission Systems team supports civilian, military, and government clients in achieving their complex missions globally. We provide intelligent and secure communications, specialized aircraft and spacecraft systems, and collaborative space solutions. This role is critical in ensuring customer success today and anticipating future needs. This is a U.S.-based position requiring a U.S. Person. Employees in Onsite roles are expected to work primarily at the facility, which is essential for product development. Collaboration and innovation are key, with access to digital tools for global teamwork and physical sites for in-person meetings when necessary.

Requirements

Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of related experience

Responsibilities

Determine methods and procedures in daily activities and establishes approaches for new assignments or activities
Set-up and operate a variety of computer and mechanically controlled machine tools to produce and repair metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
Operate and program machines to complete specific production steps or processes.
Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures
As a lead specialist, contribute to the development of concepts and techniques
Complete complex tasks in creative and effective ways
Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts in a specialized field
Have general knowledge of all other related disciplines
Rely on advanced experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and solve problems
Conduct inspection of work produced and may inspect work of others
Provide solutions to problems that are complex
Develop and implement action plans to maximize performance and productivity
