About The Position

This position requires the ability to perform all duties of a Machinist II, with a focus on machining specialty plastics and performing close tolerance work. The role involves non-standard set-ups, operating manual lathes and mills, and a strong understanding of machining fundamentals such as speeds, feeds, and blade selection. The Machinist III will also be responsible for quality control, implementing red lines, training others, and utilizing Solidworks and Mastercam software.

• Manual Machining: 5 years preferred.
• Possess own machinist tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform all the duties of a Machinist II.
• Machine specialty plastics and perform close tolerance work.

• Operate a manual lathe, including single point threading.
• Operate a manual mill.
• Apply fundamentals of cutting, including speeds and feeds, and blade selection.
• Perform quality control measures and inspections on machined parts.
• Create, review, and implement all red lines for the department.
• Train others effectively.
• Utilize Solidworks software to manipulate 3D solid part files.
• Utilize Mastercam software.
• Perform all other assigned tasks.
